"Цель присутствия корабля в Черном море – успокоить союзников по НАТО и региональных партнеров в приверженности Соединенных Штатов обязательству работать в тесном контакте для повышения морской безопасности и стабильности в регионе", – говорится в сообщении 6-го флота США.
"Работа с нашими партнерами в Черном море помогает построить большую региональную осведомленность. Военно-морские учения с такими партнерами, как Украина позволяют нам увеличить наши совместные возможности и совместимость. Как всегда, их действия были очень профессиональными, и сегодняшняя работа с ними сделала наши отношения еще ближе", – подчеркнул командир эсминца Тед Горман.
